Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo
Upon your arrival at Cairo airport, you will find our representative waiting for you with a sign from Ramses Tours. You will be transferred to your hotel in an air-conditioned car. Overnight stay in Cairo.
Day 2: Cairo
Tour After breakfast, your tour will begin with a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities. This museum houses a rare collection of 5,000 years of art and is home to the largest and most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. One of the main highlights is the exhibit dedicated to the treasures, gold, and jewelry of Tutankhamen. Afterward, you will visit the Great Pyramids of Giza, including the pyramids of Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinos, as well as the Sphinx. Return to the hotel and overnight stay in Cairo.
Day 3: Cairo – Nile Cruise
Enjoy breakfast and then transfer to the domestic airport for your flight to Luxor. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to visit the Temple of Karnak and the Temple of Luxor. Explore the Luxor Temple with its courtyard and the granite statues of Ramses the Great, and then proceed to Karnak. Afterward, you will be transferred to the Nile Cruise ship. Board the ship before lunch and enjoy your lunch on board. Overnight stay in Luxor.
Day 4: Nile Cruise
Start your day with breakfast on board the cruise ship. Visit the West Bank, including the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut at El Deir El Bahari. You will have the option to take a hot air balloon ride over the Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queens, and the Mountain of the Nobles, offering a unique perspective of the ancient sites. The duration of the flight is approximately 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the weather. Overnight stay on the cruise ship.
Day 5: Nile Cruise
Have breakfast on board and then visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu. Sail to Kom Ombo and enjoy lunch on board the cruise ship. Explore the Temple shared by the two gods Sobek and Haroeris in Kom Ombo. Afternoon tea will be served on board. Overnight stay in Kom Ombo.
Day 6: Nile Cruise
After breakfast on board, sail to Aswan. Visit the High Dam, the Granite Quarries, and the Temple of Philae. Enjoy lunch on board the cruise ship. Overnight stay in Aswan.
Day 7: Aswan – Cairo
Have breakfast on board the cruise ship and then disembark. You have the option to take a trip to Abu Simbel. Departure to visit the colossal Temple of Abu Simbel, which was built by Ramses II and later saved from the Nile waters. The temples were carved into a sandstone rock cliff and feature impressive facades depicting various deities. Nearby, you can also visit the small Temple of the King’s wife, Nefertari, dedicated to the goddess Hathor. Return to Aswan and transfer to Aswan airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Overnight stay in Cairo.
Day 8: Alexandria
Your Ramses tour guide will pick you up from your hotel. Begin the tour with a visit to the Library of Alexandria, the largest library in the world, which houses around 8 million books. You will see the statues of Alexander the Great and Ptolemy I in the library’s open court. Next, visit the Roman Amphitheater of Alexandria, where the sunken monuments of Alexandria discovered under the East harbor are displayed. You will also visit the Church of St. Mark, the oldest church in Africa, and explore the old downtown of Alexandria with its traditional markets and unique architecture. Other stops include El Nabi Daniel Mosque and optional lunch at a fish restaurant or a traditional Alexandrian food place. Take a break at a coffee shop or a traditional shisha cafe if desired. Continue the tour with a visit to the oldest market area in Mansheya, where you can find the women’s markets and the gold market. You will also see the Abbo Elabbas Mosque and the old funfair nearby. Finally, visit the corniche and the old harbor, where you can witness traditional fishing activities. Overnight stay in Alexandria.
Day 9: Cairo
After breakfast, transfer to Cairo by an air-conditioned car. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. You have the option to visit the Step Pyramids of Djoser, the world’s oldest major stone structure, built in the 3rd Dynasty. You can also visit Memphis, the ancient capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, and see the Statue of Ramses II. On the way south, you can visit the Red Pyramid and Bent Pyramid at Dahshur. In the evening, you have the option to attend the Sound & Light show in the Pyramids area. Overnight stay in Cairo.
Day 10: Departure
